What colour should i highlight my hair?

Ok so basically im a strawberry blonde with really pale skin and a hell lot of freckles! Im bored with my hair and i want to get highlights or streaks, coz my mum says not to ruin my hair with a full head dye! What colours would suit my natural hair colour?

you do not want to do anything that is not going to look natural or to out their. Stay with light tones. Ask the person doing your hair what would lok best they usuall yhave a pretty good idea..

Reply:Add black or deep brown color highlights to complement your blond color. This should also highlight your skin tone vs a washed out look. Have fun experimenting .

Reply:I was blond and then on a whim, I decided to go dark brown with a few blond highlights and some red highlights. It doesn't look trashy or crazy. Everyone loves it and I got a longer version of Victoria Beckham's cut. I hope this helps=)

Unfortunately, I don't think most people would think that's a good idea.


Maybe auburnish-brown.


Not black-brown, but more of a red-brown, since your hair's more on the blond-red side then blond-white. (I'm assuming.)

Reply:Since your skin is already pale, highlights of a darker hair color(dark browns)would just wash you out completely. If you wanted to stay a natural color i would either highlight with a pretty light red, to enhance your strawberry coloring.


Or i would highlight with subtle blonde to give you more of a blonde and less red feel.


However, if you really wanted, you might even be able to get away with a super light golden brown.
