New makeup ideas?

i am totally sick of wearing the same makeup shades every day. i usually wear nude and natural shades but id like something a bit more daring... you all seem pretty knowledgeable about shades etc so i was wondering if any of you have any ideas? i have dark brown hair and blue eyes with pale skin. there are pics of my on myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/rachiedodie ) if it helps. thanks peeps!

Since Neutral and Natural tones go well with Brown hair and Blue eyes i would say try a chocolate brown eye pencil and black mascara, Try new Eyeshadow techniques, Use brownish shades to accentuate your blue eyes (plums work well also) and dust the lighter color all over your lids then use a pearly sparkly shaded color on the inner and under part of your eyes, finally use the darkest color to line your creases then from your pupil and beyond fill in half of your lid with the dark color.

If you really want to add a dramatic touch go for the smoky effect (mechanical eye pencils with the built on smudgers at the end work really well) Line your eyes with a charcoal eye pencil then simply smudge the lines a little (you can use your pinky finger, a cotton swab, or the end of your mechanical eye pencil) this will create a sulty smokey effect with your eyes.

For blush:

with pale skin and pinkish undertones you will want to use coral or pink colors, try buying a blush with shimmer brighteners in it. This will make your skin look radiant and glowy. for a dewy effect go for the creme blush.

Lipstick:

Stray away from dark colors with pale skin, this will not only make your lips look less full but it will make your skin look even more fair.

Try using colors that are Coral colored and light, use a gloss over your lipstick for a healthy natural moisture look.

Pink is in this year and with your skin tone and hair/eye color I think pink will look great on you! I would stay away from the dark dulling colors... Hope that helps!
Reply:Is there a MAC Cosmetics in your area? If so go there. those people are geniuses...if you dont have one the easiest way to spice it up is to choose eye shadow to match your clothes...dont get carried away. you'll end up looking like a hooker BUT you can wear any color with a neutral undertone beneath.
Reply:you can try using a shade darker than you are using or go to a beauty shop ask questions, there are some department stores like Dillard, macy etc, etc. That will do half of the face and let you see how you like it, they are experts.
Reply:have you ever tried MAC shades? With your hair %26amp; eye color I would suggest maybe a light gold base with a hint of green on you lower portion of your top lid. and... probably black liner on your bottom lid.
Reply:to answer your question you should get a some shades that brings out your pretty blue eyes... when you do this people well only realize how pretty your eyes are and not what you are wearing or your skin tone.
Reply:How about a light silver? Also maybe a blue shade for daytime? For evening try a navy blue on the bottom with the silver on top.

I would check out www.eyeslipsface.com Products are only $1 and you can try things out without feeling guilty if you don't like them. I have heard they sell at Target but I coudn't find it. I would spend more on foundation and powder but to try colors I would try not to spend too much. I also saw a report on this company and it said their ingredients are just as good as the others out there. Their tube lip gloss was voted best by a poll.
Reply:I think you could mix it up a little by adding some shimmer. You should find some shimmery-ish(nothing drag queenish) eyeshadows. Local drugstore stuff should work but if you have a MAC near you, try their stuff. It's good to find a base eyeshadow, one that is close to your skin tone. Then layer the fun stuff on top of it. I think with your coloring etc, you should go with a nice blue/turqoise type color or even a green. but make sure you pick a nice color that will complement you and not make you like a tranny. I've applied bright eyeshadows on a friend who has a similar coloring to you and she looked lovely. Have a little fun, go to your shops and stuff and sample. But don't let them sucker you into buying everything! Good luck!
Reply:Try getting a subtle sparkling shade of eyeshadow. It will draw attention to your eyes - there are some nice coppery/gold shades that will make your eyes stand out, as they are blue but won't make you feel over the top. You use a dark kohl colour on your lower lids, and smudge it, then use a little of a gold/coppery shade on your top lids plus in the inner corner of your eye...

If you buy a shimmer stick and put that on various points on your face (brow bone, cheeks etc) and then put a loose powder over that your face will have a glow without the heaviness of a bronzer (which can cake and make you look like you overapplied the fake tan and is probably better since you have pale skin)...

I know this will sound lame but have a look at celebrities with similar colouring to yours and look at their make-up for ideas - a liquid eyeliner on your top lid, flicked out at the ends with a shimmery white/vanilla shade of eyeshadow is a little more dramatic than nude tones, but again not so you feel like you should be walking the streets or anything...

But there are some great websites out there with make up advice so have a look and determine what you like and don't like and then just test it out on your own skin!
Reply:natural shades are great but can be boreing. for your blue eyes the colour you should wear to make them pop is blue try almay eye shadows for blue eyes, you get 3 colours and it tells you how to apply them on the back. black eyeliner is a must have if you ask me because it always plays your eyes up try useing it above the lash line and in the rim of your eyes then use a mascara that makes your lashes really long like ( LOREAL VOLUME SHOCK MASCARA ) use soft pink blush and a pale pink lip gloss
