i suggest playing your eyes up. with pale skin and blue eyes, really make them pop by using a blue shadow on your eye lid just before the crease starts. at the crease, but a cream color and use it up to the brow line. for your hair i suggest making it a lighter red and keeping the copper for a tone under neath. take your style up a notch and don't be afraid to go bold.

Keep your natural colours, but enhance yourself in a new way.
For example, if you're used to wearing a lot of make up, go wash your face, put some lotion and try to apply make up in a completely different way - not automatically as you may be used to by now. Rethink your face. Do it slowly, on a day when you have no big plans so you don't have to rush.
On the other hand, if you do not wear a lot of cosmetics usually, try to accentuate one or two features of your face more than you are used to. For example - more mascara; or even, more intense colours of eye shadow. With your complexity, avoid pinks and blues - go for earthy colours: brown, dark green, burgundy, violet, navy. These will create an intense contrast with your eye colour and your hair colour, and will make your eyes pop out and your hair look richer in colour.
Whatever you do, do not go for extremes. It should be a slow process, you should try to fit yourself in the new you correctly.
I say, start with make up and then try changing the hairstyle a little bit if you want to - get bangs, a light perm, highlights etc.

I also am pale and have blue eyes. I find blue eyeshadows to look tacky and costume-ish. For me, wearing golden, bronzey, shimmery eyeshadows play up my eyes a bunch. It really makes them stand OUT!
For clothes wear something to show off that shape! Tall and slim people look so cute in skinny jeans and babydoll tops. Try this outfit:

Can you wear black mascara with brownish eye liner? Or is it best to have black with black?
I want a black mascara and I usually wear it with black eyeliner, but I was wondering if it would look alright with brown. I have red/brown hair and pale skin with freckles, what would suit me?

Reply:You could wear any colour eyeliner with black mascara. I have many different colour liquid liners but always use black mascara. I think green eyeliner may suit you also. You could also try using brown/black mascara.

I have brown eyes so i suppose with me wearing brown you cant really tell. But i think brown isnt as fine to wear with black. Its different colour eyeliner that are the problem. You can look natural mxing both colours but you will look odd using red, green,purple,or blue. That is my opinion.

I have ash brown hair and I wanna jaz it up a bit by getting highlights and/or lowlights, I dont wanna put alot of blonde in it cause bleeching is so bad for your hair and it will take forever to grow back out when I dont like it anymore. Hello all!
This may sound like a superficial question, but I am about to buy my FIRST bikini and I just don't know what to do. I need opinions! I have very very pale skin with pink undertones, light brown/dark blonde hair and brown eyes.
I am looking at bikinis at old navy, and so far I like the canary yellow, green and brown.. but I'm just not sure if I'm going for the right colors.
Any suggestions?

(I tend to put people with darker skin tones in light colors and vice versa...possibly just a personal preference, but it really makes the clothing stand out.) Besides, brown is a great color no matter where you wear it - you'll never look trashy or weird.

Yellow on pale skin could wash you out. Also try violets, browns with pinks, and dark blues. I think those colors would bring out your complexion beautifully.

I know it's a racial thing-but why? What is the function of a flat buttocks? I know whites have straight hair and pale skin as an adaptation to winter climates.

It could be due to the differences in the amount of food available throughout history. Fat acts as storage for food. The more food is consistent and available, the less fat is needed. Just look on TV at the conditions in Africa. You see starving kids covered with flies rather than clothes. So those who survive are those whose bodies manage food efficiently and can store it. Then contrast that to Europeans who had access to plenty of fish, milk, and meat and a strong work ethic which taught farming skills. Their bodies didn't need to develop as much fat, and too much fat would probably kill them.
Then there are genetic propagation issues. If you are from a large family where lots of women have large butts, you might not find skinny women attractive, and thus will not pass on your genes to her offspring. She may attract a man who doesn't have a thing for large buttocks, who chances are, probably didn't have women with large buttocks in his family.

If you are talking about based on experience, I've noticed that the white women I've dated have larger rounder butts than Asian women. There are studies however that have proved that African American women do have a larger percentage of body fat in the hip butt areas. Which led to African American women getting their own sets of "ideal or heatlhy" body fat measurements.

I have pale skin and hair that goes down about 4 inches past my shoulders. I want the cut but I only want to cut off at the most 2 inches of my hair. I also want the color. Reply:Use light colors in base like ivory depending on your skin color. When it comes to the eyes, i have blue eyes also and I use a light purple for eyeshadow. Make sure you don't put it on dark, Very light. It will draw more attention to your whole face not just your eyes. It is also a very classy look.

Reply:well.......im almost just like you...in fact my sister is a red head and has similar problems...........to treat a sunburn right away is to put ice on it.........it helps reduce the blisters.........if your trying to tan i really recommend tanning lotion...........not the fake tan stuff just rub it on and lay out in the sun..if you choose to do hat be sure to get the tannning lotion at about spf15 no lower o your blisters will become really gross........but dont be afraid to put on regular sun tan lotion becasue its better to look pale white than ta be completely red and peely.......also a really bad burn can later on turn into skin cancer........i hope you take my advice seriously.

When it starts to peel it will itch, try not to scratch and have someone use a lot of lotion on you several times a day, very gently. Try Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion, it has oatmeal which is great for sensitive skin and the moisture lasts a long time. I use it every day, not just for sunburn.

Reply:punk is about being yourself not going for a desired style or trying to be something you arent but if you are seriously considering that avril lavigne comercial rock chick clich茅 look, the black eyeliner is a must. you can use a soft khol from Barry M or Urban Decay, or a liquid liner from MAC (black track fluid line) or Dior (style liner). Urban Decay have these "heavy metal" eyeliners that are full glitter liners, they have a great gold one and the shade is called "baked" you could put that above the black eyeliner, or on its own for a really fun look. If you are looking for good dark eye shadows then Urban Decay are also great for that, they have pallettes with lots of colours and they have great stay power.
Also for nail polish, don't just stick with black. dark shades of red, purple and blue are also lovely. Most importantly be yourself, experiment a little and don't go overboard.

if your going slightly more towards "scene" make up id suggest smokey eyes
to do this apply one shade to the whole lid, up to the soct line and blend in a semi-circular action into the socket with a brush or your finger. Blend out in the outside corners of the socket use a thin brush to sweep a line of darker shadow under the lower lash line. Use a kohl pencil eyeliner to draw a line round the whole eye and the inside rim. Finnish the look with some mascara and maybe applying some concealer/ neutral lipgloss to your lips to make them paler (not too pale tho).
or maybe try something different using neon eyemakeup or bright glitters
just experiment basically and youll find a look that suits you and this way itll most likely be original

Punk? Punk was all about originality. Stop asking yourself what people here, people anywhere, want you to look like and start looking the way you want.
Punk in the late 70's early 80's (real punk) was not usually 'just mascara' ... often people came up with really amazing, creative and ornate make up.

Reply:punk is about being yourself not going for a desired style or trying to be something you arent but if you are seriously considering that avril lavigne comercial rock chick clich茅 look, the black eyeliner is a must. you can use a soft khol from Barry M or Urban Decay, or a liquid liner from MAC (black track fluid line) or Dior (style liner). Urban Decay have these "heavy metal" eyeliners that are full glitter liners, they have a great gold one and the shade is called "baked" you could put that above the black eyeliner, or on its own for a really fun look. If you are looking for good dark eye shadows then Urban Decay are also great for that, they have pallettes with lots of colours and they have great stay power.
Also for nail polish, don't just stick with black. dark shades of red, purple and blue are also lovely. Most importantly be yourself, experiment a little and don't go overboard.

if your going slightly more towards "scene" make up id suggest smokey eyes
to do this apply one shade to the whole lid, up to the soct line and blend in a semi-circular action into the socket with a brush or your finger. Blend out in the outside corners of the socket use a thin brush to sweep a line of darker shadow under the lower lash line. Use a kohl pencil eyeliner to draw a line round the whole eye and the inside rim. Finnish the look with some mascara and maybe applying some concealer/ neutral lipgloss to your lips to make them paler (not too pale tho).

just experiment basically and youll find a look that suits you and this way itll most likely be original

I am totally boring when it comes to clothes and stick to black, white and blue really. I want to kick some colour in to my wardrobe, and wanted to know if anyone has the same kinda features would know what colours I would suit. Reply:With pale skin I think darker colors will make you look washed out or even Gothic looking, and wearing brown and having brown hair is not flattering in my opinion. Reds in my opinion are not very flattering on anyone, it causes ones heart rate to increase and bad moods. I think the best colors for you would be the purples, and blues that match your eye color, they put you and those around you in a relaxing mood and they will go good with your hair and skin tone and compliment your eye color very well, if you wear those color eye shadows or pencils your eyes will really stand out. One thing i love that brings out a nicer colour in my skin is yellows and oranges. Floral is also nice to enhance colour, especially in beach tones like sand, blues, whites, orange and yellows. Think about your best asset and then play it up, example: If you like your arms try a halter top in any above colours and long earrings (they make your arms look nice and long). Also wear jeans in dark washes as it is most flattering, and when you wear skirts or shorts dust a light bronzer on the front and back of yours legs (but not all over as it will make your legs look larger) to give your skin dimension and a slight shimmer that will enhance your skins healthy look. If you do want to wear lighter washes of denim, make sure they fit well. Buy shorts that hit at the largest part of your upper leg, right before it narrows, which will make your legs look ultra slim. But to enhance your features your best choice is those sand tones, they will really compliment your skin and hair all at once. Good luck.

That's good that you want a subtle yet noticeable kind of look because that's all that'll work for you the best! Therefore, here's what I suggest:
Mascara: About one coat of balck or dark brown mascara on either all of your eyelash lines or only the top ones of each eye.
Eyeshadow: Color? Violet. Shading? Moderately dark shade of violet on your lid and go verrryyy light as you work your way over the whole rest of the eyelid.
Eyeliner: Black or dark brown eyeliner used to make a (subtle/ /diagonal/short) line from the end of your eye. Or, you can do a thin-lined cat eyes look. But you have to be very precise and careful to acheive this... (contact me if you want to know or look it up)
Lipstick: A light or moderately dark- very moderate- shade of pink. Like, a medium primrose, pastel pink, etc.
Lipgloss: Something that blends with either color that you choose for your lipstick.
Blush: Subtle pink. Spread all over the cheek or in a soft circle.
It also depends for what occasion you want makeup for, so a lot of these could be optional. If it's for general, you can of course do all of them but very subtly.

i reckon green eyes are brilliant so use mascara and a little eyeliner on the bottom of your eye, clear lipgloss is always the way to go n perhaps a tiny bit of bronzerr or blusher but remember... the last thing you should do is too much make up... gotta be gentle with pale complexions... dont wana look like a hooker hehe

Try Revlon colour duo. It will give you a thin applicator with which you can draw a nice brown lining on your upper lid and then lightly brush over with the cream colour. Add a touch of brown mascara.
Find a peach tinted lipgloss or just use clear. Always remember: draw attention to only one feature. If you want to draw attention to your eyes, keep your lips natural and vice versa.

Blue/gray eyes seem to pick up on what ever color is around them. Mine are gray, and depending on my makeup or outfit, they will look gray, green or blue.
I tend to use natural tone eye shadows, shades of brown, tan, gray, charcoal. Black eyeliner and mascara. Mauve blushes and lipsticks. Translucent or light powders and foundations.
I get complimented on my makeup (when I wear it). But it is not unusual for me to go "natural" with just some face moisturizer.
What you could do is look at photos of celebrities, find one with similar skin tone, eye color and hair color, see which "look" you like best and copy it. Certain looks work for certain functions, too. Like, makeup for work isn't usually the same as makeup for a night out on the town, and neither is usually what you'd see while hiking out on a mountain trail.

Blue/gray eyes seem to pick up on what ever color is around them. Mine are gray, and depending on my makeup or outfit, they will look gray, green or blue.
I tend to use natural tone eye shadows, shades of brown, tan, gray, charcoal. Black eyeliner and mascara. Mauve blushes and lipsticks. Translucent or light powders and foundations.
I get complimented on my makeup (when I wear it). But it is not unusual for me to go "natural" with just some face moisturizer.
What you could do is look at photos of celebrities, find one with similar skin tone, eye color and hair color, see which "look" you like best and copy it. Certain looks work for certain functions, too. Like, makeup for work isn't usually the same as makeup for a night out on the town, and neither is usually what you'd see while hiking out on a mountain trail.

She is a natural redhead with pretty brown eyes and freckles on her nose and cheeks, and she's VERY pretty, all the boys want to go out with her, but she's ever so self conscious about her hair color, her pale skin and her freckles. Wow, your friend is very pretty if she looks like Elise Crombez, I don't know why she feels self conscious or unconfident! With red-heads, green eyeshadow is great - especially dark green or even dark metallic green. Gold is good aswell - light gold metalic. A lip gloss tinted with brown or pink would be good aswell - but not at the same time as the eyeshadow. If using eyeshadow, use clear lipgloss, and if using coloured lipgloss, just use eyeliner and mascara (both black).

OK, so go natural, i think people approach more natural looking people, than people with a face full of makeup.
since your pale like me, DONT use foundation it will make you look fake %26amp; cakey.
only use a bit of concealer, for under your eyes if you have dark circles %26amp; to mask some pimples, and finish it off with a bit of pressed powder.
this will give you a base, then add some CLEAR NOT BLACK mascara and a touch of lipgloss, something like bonnebell.
then you will look natural intstead of looking all cake face-y.

OK, so go natural, i think people approach more natural looking people, than people with a face full of makeup.
since your pale like me, DONT use foundation it will make you look fake %26amp; cakey.
only use a bit of concealer, for under your eyes if you have dark circles %26amp; to mask some pimples, and finish it off with a bit of pressed powder.
this will give you a base, then add some CLEAR NOT BLACK mascara and a touch of lipgloss, something like bonnebell.
then you will look natural intstead of looking all cake face-y.

Keep it simple. Good moisturizer, mascara and lip gloss is the way to go. You will look refreshed and glowing. Don't forget to keep your face clean at night, to prevent any breakouts.

I have blue eyes that I get lots of comments on, too. I also have pale skin. I use to hate eyeshadow, but now I mostly can't do without it, I just use lighter colors.
Also, I find that eyeliners brings out my eyes, just not too much. But, if eyeliner isn't your thing (and it DOES take awhile to get use to putting it on), I'd definitely would use a little bit of mascara. Something to just make your eyes pop a little bit more.

I recomend that if you are active to take some black eyeshadow, mix it with VERY LITTLE LITTLE water and then take a thin eyelining brush and just gently go through the shadow and apply to your eyelid. Does anyone know of a family clan or bloodline that this could come from? As far back as our family tree goes, we can't find any other races or nationalities besides British. I'm just curious, as most of our family (and most other Brits I know) have pale skin and burn easily.

Why can't women be happy with there complexion?
I've made several comments on this topic over the last few days. I just don't get the sun tan craze; not only can it give you a life threatening disease, but it looks tacky! They say a tan looks youthful. They say you look healthy with a tan. Who are they? Where do they live? Why do we listien to them? I think it would be nice if girls took reasonable care of there appearance, learn to be happy with who we are, and tell them to buzz off. Pale skin is both beautiful, and healthy. What do you think?

It's men like you that don't express yourself enough. This day and age "men" say they'd prefer a tan. My husband for instance would rather me have a tan than just be natural. I think if more guys would say that to us we probably wouldn't. It's an insecurity thing. We want to be liked and look beautiful. So we'll do what "they" are saying.
Why can't women be happy with there complexion?
I think people are too concerned with their appearance in general, and this is just one example of that.

People with tanned skin generally were considered to be farmers who toiled in the sun, while people with paler skin were thought to be of the upper class who could afford to stay inside.

A girl I know in college lost her pocketbook and all of us were worried about her license, credit cards, etc....She didn't care about all that....she was worried about her make-up!! I think looking one's best is impo as well as staying healthy and if we all just accepted who we are, well, major make-up companies would go bankrupt. Isn't it odd that in other species it's the male with the colorful plumage attracting the female.....but your question is more about tanning....I think when it comes in a bottle, then that's really gross. If you have natural coloring from being outdoors then that's ok......but to deliberately fry yourself with baby oil and to make sure you don't have any missed spots is the sign of someone too self-absorbed.

Reply:I'm a southern girl so a tan is as much a part of my life as saying "Yall". It's so hot here unless you are a couch potato ,you are at least a little tan . I do feel I personally look better with a tan but I have seen people who were just as beautiful without. (Think Nicole Kidman)The "Tan Craze " started in the 1920s when French fashion designer Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel showed up at her fashion show with a golden tan obtained on the French Riviera. Being tanned began to be a status symbol that you had wealth and traveled to these tropical places.
Reply:The reason women can not and will not be happy with their complexion is because of Hollywood and all these beauty magazine that show all these air brushed people that look gorgeous and everybody is always trying to look better. Just be happy in the skin your in. Pale skin is beautiful it looks untouched when you start putting stuff on it and tanning it that is when problems arise then they try to fix one problem and keep creating others and then it it is a never ending problem. Come on women be happy in your skin!!!
