How can I tan really fast outside in the sun? how long will it take?

I have somewhat pale skin. I want to know how to get a tan fast, but I don%26#039;t want the damage of tanning booths. I would use self-tanners but they never come out right and fade too quickly. I just want a very dark, natural tan, but how do I achieve this FAST? I live in PA and it%26#039;s spring. Lately, the weather%26#039;s been overcast =/

Like the others said, the Sun is just as bad as the tanning booth but to answer your question...Go outside with a towel and sunglasses and coat yourself with tanning oil. It makes your tan even darker, it honestly really works. You can get it at drugstores or Target/Wal-Mart! It%26#039;ll be a dark bottle!

If you are so concerned about your appearance now, wait until you are older, after tanning. Your skin will be like leather, and all wrinked, it won%26#039;t stretch, just sag and be very ugly.

Embrace your skin type, avoid the sun, and you will be forever beautiful!!
Reply:Tanning outside causes just as much damage as tanning in a booth; it%26#039;s the UV rays that cause the skin damage. Hopefully you%26#039;ll find an artificial tanning product that gives the results you%26#039;re looking for, because there%26#039;s no natural way of doing it that won%26#039;t damage your body.
Reply:you need to find a place that does that spray on tanning stuff where you stand in a booth and it auto sprays you. alot of salons are going this way with what looks likt a can of spray paint but its tanning solution. its costs them less money cuz they dont have the tanning bed electricity costs. check it out its really neat i did it for my wedding and you just stand there and they spray you and you notice it with in 15 min and if they miss a spot they just go over it again.. its really safer than the sun and taning beds too. did you watch last seasons Real World on MTV? they had to run a spray on tanning salon.
Reply:Sweety listen, I%26#039;ve had pale skin all my life and even when i lived in Florida I didnt get tan enough...The bad part is i always burn so if thats your worry then the tanning booth seems to be the only way to tan w/out burning and then it keeps you from burning when you actually go into the sun...Otherwise being pale isnt the worst thing in the world is it? I mean even most major movie stars arent that tan, look at Nicole Kiddman
Reply:You%26#039;re just like me. I live in a cloudy place, too. Well, what I do is I have a dark self-tanning lotion with SPF of 4, from Eckerds. (I got one w/o SPF once, bad idea.) Then, any time it%26#039;s sunny, I run to the upstairs %26quot;Yellow Room%26quot; that has lots of sun, open all the windows, and apply lotion. My skin%26#039;s already medium, but I want it tanned, so it takes a looooong while, seeing as how I only do it an hour at a time.

I read once you should try for 2 hrs/week. I%26#039;ve been doing that on and off since March, and just starting to get fairly dark. Barely, though. If you go out for 3 hrs, and you%26#039;re not used to it, fresh from winter - you get melodrama (sp?) and all that skin disease stuff.

So, just keep going out when it%26#039;s sunny, and you%26#039;ll eventually get tan. Unless you can afford lying out for 4 hours, do it slowly, and it%26#039;ll be better on your health. If you tan it slowly, it lasts longer, too. After ten minutes, the skin%26#039;s response to sun is to start tanning, but the color won%26#039;t come for a while.
Reply:Well ii depends on if you use a tanning lotion or sunscreen and what brand...without it wont take long 30 mins...45 mins...depends on skin type....good luck鈾モ櫏鈾?br>Reply:get all natural cocoa butter, you might need to go to an organic food store but it also might be at walgreens or w/e is by you. I think it%26#039;s like $5. Lay outside and let the cocoa butter melt then put it on
Reply:cooking oil but its bad for you
Reply:One of my daughters was asked to be a bridesmaid in a wedding in Hawaii in March of this year. We live in Minnesota, and even though we have tanning booth shops, she did not get the invitation until the end of January, - so the odds of getting a deep dark %26quot;Hawaiian Tan%26quot; from a booth was not realistic - without risking a peel. She was frantic - she just HAD to have a deep dark tan for the wedding, - the bridesmaid dresses were all bright saffron silk - as yellow as sunflowers.

Well, I%26#039;m not sure where it%26#039;s located, (I think at the Mall of America), or what the Store was called, (I think it was something like %26quot;California Sun%26quot;, but she came home one afternoon as brown as an almond - with a flawless tan. I could not believe it!

Jan has flax blonde hair, and the tan seemed to go right into the hair line and into the skin under her eyebrows, The color was uniform and glowed, it remided me of what she looked like when she was 17 and a life guard at the lake , and by the middle of August she would have a deep rich mahogany tan like this.

%26quot;It%26#039;s a skin stain Daddy%26quot;. It lasts for about 4 - 6 weeks, and will gradually and uniformly fade off; isn%26#039;t it great! It onlt cost $ 99.00.%26quot; %26quot;Don%26#039;t you just love it? And there%26#039;s no UV damage to my skin - so no melanoma risk%26quot; . Anyway - I gotta admit - if I had%26#039;nt know it was a spray on tan - I would have sworn it was the real thing.
