Punk make-up?

Can you advise some make-up tips, for my new style?

I have dark(ish) brown hair, blue eyes, and quite pale skin.
Punk make-up?
Punk? Punk was all about originality. Stop asking yourself what people here, people anywhere, want you to look like and start looking the way you want.

Punk in the late 70's early 80's (real punk) was not usually 'just mascara' ... often people came up with really amazing, creative and ornate make up.

I suggest you experiment with your make up until you find what you like. Have the courage to be yourself.

Reply:punk is about being yourself not going for a desired style or trying to be something you arent but if you are seriously considering that avril lavigne comercial rock chick clich茅 look, the black eyeliner is a must. you can use a soft khol from Barry M or Urban Decay, or a liquid liner from MAC (black track fluid line) or Dior (style liner). Urban Decay have these "heavy metal" eyeliners that are full glitter liners, they have a great gold one and the shade is called "baked" you could put that above the black eyeliner, or on its own for a really fun look. If you are looking for good dark eye shadows then Urban Decay are also great for that, they have pallettes with lots of colours and they have great stay power.

Also for nail polish, don't just stick with black. dark shades of red, purple and blue are also lovely. Most importantly be yourself, experiment a little and don't go overboard.
Reply:YOUR NOT A PUNK!

YOUR AN AVRIL LAVIGNE POSER!

YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A CLUE HOW STUP!D YOU WOULD SOUND IF YOU ASK THAT TO REAL PUNKS!
Reply:okay so,

if your going slightly more towards "scene" make up id suggest smokey eyes

to do this apply one shade to the whole lid, up to the soct line and blend in a semi-circular action into the socket with a brush or your finger. Blend out in the outside corners of the socket use a thin brush to sweep a line of darker shadow under the lower lash line. Use a kohl pencil eyeliner to draw a line round the whole eye and the inside rim. Finnish the look with some mascara and maybe applying some concealer/ neutral lipgloss to your lips to make them paler (not too pale tho).

or maybe try something different using neon eyemakeup or bright glitters

just experiment basically and youll find a look that suits you and this way itll most likely be original

stargazer do some really good colours in eye shadow and glitter eyeliners aswell

i also found this which might help

Punk defined its own notions of style and beauty - and continues to influence the fashion world to this day. Use bold colours and graphic lines to re-create a look that makes a real statement.

1. Look for a colour palette that allows you to get creative. Striking combinations include yellow and green, orange and pink, purple and blue, red and black or blue and silver. Metallic colours are excellent - and given that you want a very strong result, look out for liquid and creme formulations, which tend to givemore intensity or colour than powders. Mac make some fabulous products in as broad a range of shades as anyone could wish for; try out different colour combinations in store.

2. Start by applying foundation to create a pale, flawless surface that colour will really stand out against. Next, sculpt the cheekbones to create a dramatic yet beautiful structure. Use a bronze colour to emphasise the shadow of the cheek hollow and creme highlighter to accentuate the cheekbone; dot it along the very edge of the cheekbone in an L-shape around the eye.

3. The idea is to draw attention to the eyes with bold shapes and dramatic, blended colour. Use your eyeliner to elongate the eye, drawing a swooping line up towards the corner of the brow. This can be painted and thickened with metallic liquid, with one colour blending into another. Alternatively you can create a solid wash of colour on the lid, taperinbg out to a point.

4. Keep lips plain, simply applying a nude gloss.

5. Create a divided line from the corner of the eye, with one line going above the eye and one going down at a reflected angle below the eye.
