Can you wear black mascara with brownish eye liner? Or is it best to have black with black?

I want a black mascara and I usually wear it with black eyeliner, but I was wondering if it would look alright with brown. I have red/brown hair and pale skin with freckles, what would suit me?

black with black darling....

black, depends on the colour of your eyes, try a different colour eye shadow??
Reply:You could wear any colour eyeliner with black mascara. I have many different colour liquid liners but always use black mascara. I think green eyeliner may suit you also. You could also try using brown/black mascara.
Reply:You can wear black mascara with any color eyeliner you want. You don't have to worry about color coordinating.
Reply:i think its ok to wear the brown with black if you dont want to go for a heavily made up look. i have the same colourings and often wear brown and black during the day.
Reply:definatly black with black
Reply:I have reddish brown hair, brown eyes and medium skin and wear black mascara and brown eyeliner. Black with black is a bit more of a dramatic look which I do wear sometimes, think the brown is a bit more softer.. I reckon it might work for you, though you didnt say what colour your eyes were. You could try brownish black mascara with the brown eyeliner.. You could always ask for advice at a makeup counter too. Good luck hope you find the right look.
Reply:dark brown would probably be a good look , both dark brown that is ..

or black with black .. u dont say what colour eyelashes u have ... if they are fair stick with brown ....
Reply:I almost always wear black mascara but I usually match my eyeliner to my shadow. If I'm wearing neutral or brown shadow I wear brown liner. It would work well with other colours too, particularly warm ones.
Reply:I think so! I often wear a dark brown liner and black mascara. Black and black is good for a heavier evening look but for the daytime a brown eyeliner is a little more subtle and suitable for the workplace! Make up is all about experimenting! Enjoy!
Reply:yes
Reply:brown would look nice too. it would soften down the tone!!!
Reply:I think brown eye liner with black mascara is the best.
Reply:well personally i think brown looks more natural with black but brown/black you can get looks great so just experiment really xx
Reply:Hi i suppose what eveer suits you, You dont say what colour eyes you have. I have brown eyes and when i want a soft everyday look i use brown eyeline and black mascara and this gives it more of an effect that isnt over the top, and i wear black on a night out or if im dressing up for an occasion. I have brown eyes so i suppose with me wearing brown you cant really tell. But i think brown isnt as fine to wear with black. Its different colour eyeliner that are the problem. You can look natural mxing both colours but you will look odd using red, green, purple,or blue. That is my opinion.
Reply:i know plenty of people who wear brown eyeliner with black mascara.

try it and if it doesn't look right to you then wash it off. never hurts to try.
Reply:wear brown eyeliner with a dark brown mascara
Reply:Um, I would say go for it! I wear black mascara everyday, and when I wear eyeliner, I wear a darkish brown. I'm blonde, so black %26amp; black makes me look too unnatural and made up. Do what you like best, don't worry too much about what everybody else is doing!
Reply:i think u shud stick to the black or stick to the brown dont mix or u could end up looking like a disaster
Reply:Black with Black looks great for a dramatic and bold look, to really make your eyes stand out.

Brown and Black looks more subtle although still defines your eyes.

You can wear either. I usually wear brown at college or in the day and black when I go out in the evenings as it means my eyes really stand out and look different.
