I am going to go to a new school, and at my old school I had like no friends mostly because of what I wore and how I looked. I really want to make myself look better for my new school, I don%26#039;t want to change who I am or anything just maybe tweak the outside a little, also I don%26#039;t want to spend TOO much money.

Reply:Well not to offend you ,but you have to crank up to your wild side. Go to Pro- cuts you know that place? It%26#039;s cheap and you can get a great hairstyle there. Cut it short I think (not too short ) look at some hairstyle books and check them out to see which one you like. After that I suggest you got to your local drugstore and buy some blush to show off those cheek bones, I suggest a rosy pink or such or something lighter. You can wear contacts but if you can get some glasses that have a bolder lense ( this says %26quot;Look at me!%26quot;) Get some eyeshadow too, something like blue or near your skin color but darker. Clothes, as long as they are flattering to your figure, aren%26#039;t really that difficult to pull off, as long as you have confidence. You could wear a garbage bag, but if you throw your shoulders back and smile, you could be on the cover of vogue.

How to do one hair streak?
Hello, I%26#039;ve got (dyed) reddishy darky brown hair that is 4 inches past my shoulder (ish). I%26#039;ve got pale skin and electric blue eyes, and my hair is layered. I%26#039;ve got a side but fullish fringey thing. (Ok I%26#039;m not the best at description) and i want to run a streak through the front of it as I feel like a change.
First colour that popped into mind was a bright purple. But now I don%26#039;t know, what colour would you suggest?
And also would i have to bleach it myself first using manic panic because my hair is too dark?
Will it be VIBRANT or dull?

I%26#039;ve been rocking the dark hair/blond streak for over a year and a half and I have to say, it%26#039;s difficult to maintain!! You%26#039;ll probably need to bleach first, but my suggestion is to NOT (let me say that again) NOT bleach it too much!! Take it up to a yellow-blond... this will make it light enough to really pop, but leave enough pigment in the hair to really adhere to the new color you put in! If you over-bleach, the hair will be too porous to keep the color, and it will fade almost immediately!
As for brand--try Wella or Chi... best colors and they last longer! Good luck!

I%26#039;ve been rocking the dark hair/blond streak for over a year and a half and I have to say, it%26#039;s difficult to maintain!! You%26#039;ll probably need to bleach first, but my suggestion is to NOT (let me say that again) NOT bleach it too much!! Take it up to a yellow-blond... this will make it light enough to really pop, but leave enough pigment in the hair to really adhere to the new color you put in! If you over-bleach, the hair will be too porous to keep the color, and it will fade almost immediately!
As for brand--try Wella or Chi... best colors and they last longer! Good luck!

I also have pale skin with blue eyes and it makes a world of difference if you go with an auburn or red color. I know for me that the little bit of color makes all the difference. I usually go a darker red in the fall/winter and in the spring/summer I have some highlights added.
As far as the cut, I think if you accentuate your natural curls with something layered (but not too short because you%26#039;ll have that short bushy effect) that would be nice. I have thick, wavy hair myself and since I%26#039;ve had mine layered it looks great curly or straight. But make sure that you check with your stylist because other factors like face shape and size influence what kind of cuts look good on you as well.

Well, I have some tips for you! Since you seem to have a nice, fair complexion, I would immediatly stay away from dark, bright colors.
Dark red, black, blue, green, brown, purple are all out of the question, unless they are very light.
EYES: For you eyes I%26#039;d usea a pale green/blue eyeshadow, but just a swipe or to on the lid, and not under the eyebrow.
I would not use eyeliner if I were you, because it will make your eyes appear smaller! You CAN use mascara for blondes though! You can ask for it at your local stores makeup counter. White eyeliner you can try to use, but only a little and in the corners of your eyes.
CHEEKS: I would no try to hide your freckles unless they cover your whole face. Then I would use a light powder foundation, not the gooey kind. Maybe you can tey mousse from Maybelline. Also, do NOT put much blush. I%26#039;d only wear blush only holidays, prom, etc. You will look funny!
LIPS: I would NOT wear lipliner or lipstick, but a nice light lipgloss. Nothing to dark, though.

Lips: A strong lip color can overwhelm your features if not chosen correctly. Look for berry shades and “true” reds; that is, reds with blue undertones. For a softer look, peachy colors and beige lipsticks with pink undertones work well for fair skin. Almost all major cosmetic companies offer a variety of lipstick colors which look great on your skin tone.
As far as foundation goes, I would wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing. You can buy a sheer coverage foundation that will somewhat hide your freckles, but not look thick or “caked on”. Foundation basically is used to even out your skin tone and cover any imperfections you may have on your face. If you feel more comfortable with just powder then you should go with that option.

I have got very pale skin which burns easy. I would like to get a tan, I dont like sunbeds as i dont like small places. Also everytime that i have used fake tan it has gone terribly wrong. Please help!! X X X

I used to be pretty pail. my skin tone was natural ivory but then I used some self tanner that was really good I wish I could remember the name of it to recommend it to you, but anyway I went tanning about once a week for a short time and I very slowly increased my time but what really got it was when I was at the pool and I got burned I was red for three days and then It became a tan and it is so much easier to tan and get darker once you already have a tan

Reply:i tan very well ,but laying in beds and the sun can really damage your skin......... so i have been using sublime self tanning bronzer and i get so many compliments on my %26quot; fake %26quot; tan but i dont tell on myself , i just smile and say %26quot; thanks%26quot; you can get it at walmart and its much cheaper than a spray on tan !

Reply:well what i do i use carrots and 1 teaspoon of coke and squeez a bit of lemon and a bit of olive oil and scrub all on my body and sit in the sun for 15 min or 30 min it realy gives a nice color .. or u can just get the hawaiin tropic suntaning lotion -bronz it gives u a nice tan and it acts like a moisturizer ..u can get it from boots .. good luck
Reply:if ur pale ur skin prob wont take a tan so use ither boots no7 tinted lotion of loreal sublime bronze spray tan fab stuff and u cant make a mess of it spray on all over and rub in wit a mitt and hey presto!!

What i started to do was to get some sun on me, but use a tanning creme when i went in the sun.. it was called %26quot;sex pot%26quot; and you can get it at most tanning salon. After using that, I started to do stand-up tanning in the tanning salons, because you can keep the doors open a bit ...depending on how claustrophobic you are. I would go 15 minutes at a time, and then worked up my minutes from there. this helps you get the base coat so you wont burn. After that, this year I can go out in the sun and get a tan without burning. Try this, and see if it helps!

I wouldn%26#039;t bother with all the cheap and nasty ones in Boots (Loreal, Nivea etc)
St Tropez and Fake Bake are the only ones worth the hassle. With spray on tans it develops over a few hours and your done, fair enough, but with most of them you cant see where your putting it, so you can easily miss bits.
With St Topez it%26#039;s best to do it at night, sleep in it and have a shower in the morning. It%26#039;s a really dark colour so you can see exactly where you%26#039;ve put it, and it doesnt streak, as long as your covered from head to toe you%26#039;ll be a gorgeous brown colour. You look like a twat when you%26#039;ve applied it because it dries streaky, but trust me that%26#039;s meant to happen!
You%26#039;ll also need to buy the polisher and moisturiser, as a lot of people use all sorts of exfoliators and creams, then wonder why their tan goes a funny colour, or comes off all together.
Best bet, have St Tropez in a salon, maybe just on your legs, ask them lots of questions, or buy the video to see how its done.
Oh, and there are some wicked e-bay shops selling the moisturiser and polisher cheap, but get the tan from boots

I used to be pretty pail. my skin tone was natural ivory but then I used some self tanner that was really good I wish I could remember the name of it to recommend it to you, but anyway I went tanning about once a week for a short time and I very slowly increased my time but what really got it was when I was at the pool and I got burned I was red for three days and then It became a tan and it is so much easier to tan and get darker once you already have a tan

Laying in the sun. Just dont lay so long you get a bad burn. But ultimately laying in the sun works best for me. I too have fair, pale skin. But i am nuts and lay out for 2 hours...

Reply:There are so many great things for self tanning now. No more orange. Neutrogena has one, Jergen%26#039;s has one, L%26#039;oreal too. I had problems for years and gave up - but these are reliable and don%26#039;t streak. These creams are all cream colored with a bit of self tanner in them - so that your skin tans naturally.
They are not labeled as tanners - things like %26#039;golden glow%26#039; - read the labels - and they%26#039;re inexpensive.
Reply:its always the rush to get a quick tan thats damaging. just go about wearing summer outfits and get some sun daily. in only few days to a week you%26#039;ll get a fair tan...oops a tan not necessarily a FAIR tan!
Reply:you have to be careful when tanning--yes you can lay out in the sun or pay to go tanning but that increases your risk of skin cancer (i mean its okay to lay out but USE SUNSCREEN and if u really want 2 tan use like an spf 8 or 15 and reapply frequently)

If you definitly want a fake tan, go to a professional tanning salon and discuss your problem with a trained employee who can help you. If you don%26#039;t want to spend all that money, you can ask drug-store clerk for their oppinions bronzers and other tanning products.There is one other way: A real sun-tan. Make sure to use lots of sunblock and tanning products to help improve your tan and your skin. Also, make sure not to stay in the sun too long and always reapply sunblock after about 2-3 hours.
