natural rust red hair,pale skin,greenish blue eyes,wavy,thick hair,bangs to my eyebrows,ovalish face (if that matters im not exactly a hair expert),what would be a good highlight color for me

You could easily pull of some strawberry blonde highlights, unless your hair is a darker shade of red - even then stick to a similar colour just one or two shades lighter for a natural scattered look.
If you wanted something more edgey you could try getting a big chunk of really blonde hair or black perhaps...
But it sounds like you like it more natural - so stick to the first option.. It'll look great!
