How can i get away from wearing blue eyesahdow, mascara and eye liner?

it looks good, and i've awlays worn it and done well with the fellas, but i think its time for a change! black mascara makes my eyes look really small and horrible, and all other eyeshadows make me look ugly. i've got brown mid length layered hair, very pale skin, blue eyes, glasses - help!
How can i get away from wearing blue eyesahdow, mascara and eye liner?
Be careful with your colors, although you may think blue eye shadow will bring out the blue in your eyes, many shades of blue will actually have the opposite effect. Neutral eye shadows are the best and by neutral I mean soft colors found in skin, browns, vanillas, mauves, beiges or in the subtle undertones of the skin, golds, olives, pale purples, blues, and grays. Neutral eye shadows are easy to work with because they meld well with one another and naturally compliment your skin tone.

You can visit www.ivillage.com and use their makeover-o-matic program to upload a photo of yourself and try on different hairstyles, makeup looks, etc to see which one compliments you the most. Or try the website below. Good luck :-)

Try greys, more up to date than blue and less harsh than black or brown.
Reply:You need browns - dark browns and purples.........stay away from the blue - you need something to compliment your eyes - not go with them....
Reply:do not wear blue mascara that's trashy

try lilac
Reply:get a life
Reply:well my opinion is that no one needs to wear makeup......so yea.....just stop wearing makeup and let the guys see you for who you are
Reply:Go to MAC, Sephora, or Benefit. Tell them that you are looking for a new look and they will try out some different options. And the best part is that they do not charge for that. But it would be nice if you bought something.
Reply:just try brown or blick, or a combination of both, who cares what the 'fellas' think - they wouldn't give a toss anyway, just be happy
Reply:You should wear a really light pink eye shadow and if eye liner makes your eyes look really small then just chose a color that will make your eyes pop.
Reply:I went to the dollar store and bought cheap eyeshadow pallets to see what looks best on me before spending any more money on more expensive eye shadow. You can experiment without spending a lot of cash.

Dark brown or deep blue mascara might look good.
Reply:Here is my suggestions......

Pale Skin:

Porcelain skins are best complemented by soft, muted tones and pastels; choose a soft pink or beige blusher, nude or pink lip gloss and a couple of coats of brown mascara for a fresh, modern look. Alternatively, cherry red lipstick looks great teamed with pale skin and dark brown or black hair.

Blue Eyes:

Your best shades are vanilla, taupe, coffee and cocoa for daytime; for a stronger look opt for slate grey, charcoal, air force blue and lilac to heather to really accentuate the blue of your eyes. Choose a brown, grey or charcoal eye pencil to further enhance your eyes.
Reply:DONT WEAR THE MASCARA.i dont and since ur eyes r blue wear light pink or light light blue. maybe even some different light color but since u r very pale. (not sayn but u said u did) start to wear a light color blush if wanted. but.... its all u.

good luck and wear ur glasses so wat.
Reply:Green eyeliner a shimmering crystal color eyeshadow over whole eyelid then a pale green fromthe middle crease to the eyelashes and a smudge line of a little darker green at edge of eye lashes. You can go with lavender silver and purple also change it up just don't go to dark.
Reply:Trust me.blue DOESN'T look good. You are probably just used to it

Try some very lightlavenders/golds with some browns for contouring.

Use a brown eyelinger and brown mascara
Reply:Have you tried plum or purple in the eyeshadows? There's enough blue in the purple to make your eyes look really intense. You can wear a purple mascara and liner also, if you want to.

Seriously, tho, if it ain't broke, why fix it? Change your shade of blue, maybe, if you really feel the need to change something.
Reply:From a tactical perspective - Why change a winning formula?
Reply:take your clothes of that will distract people from your face.
Reply:Throw then out..then you wont have them to use.
Reply:I would go for brown eye liner %26amp; mascara with a grey, lilac or brown coloured eye shadow.
Reply:Try PALE bronze shades it worked for me.
Reply:DON'T WEAR THAT COLOUR OF EYE SHADOW USE BROWN AND FOR MASCARA DON'T WEAR ANY
Reply:TRY A LiGHT PURPLE EYESHADOW (MOONLiGHTiNG FROM CLiNiQUE) OR ViOLET OR PLUM COLOR. OR TRY A BLUE GREY SHADOW. (BLUE JOY FROM ESTEE LAUDER THiS CREME BLUE EYESHADOW HAS GREY iN iT%26amp;iTS VERY DOWN TO EARTH COLOR) WEAR BLACK BROWN OR DARK BROWN MASCARA AND LiNER. (MAC EYE KOHL iN TEDDY.)
Reply:to make your eye look bigger wear white eye liner, just on the bottom of your eye and wear skin tone colors or colors that make the color of your eye pop out.
Reply:The trick is to invest in just a few items of really good quality make-up - then it will look much more natural and flattering, and won't deteriorate and smudge as the night goes on.

For mascara, go for brown or brown-black. This will accentuate your eyes without looking cheap and heavy. Clinique Naturally Glossy mascara is totally fantastic. It costs about 拢10, but I've never known clumpy lashes and have used it for years. Clinique does some fab super-quality eye-shadows, too.

The best thing to do is go to a department store with a Clinique counter and get them to do a makeover on you. They will test out different colours and pick shades that flatter your skin-tone. Maybe greys and purples would look good on you. I have a lovely olive-green one too (sounds grim but looks really pretty). Use a soft colour for an eye-liner, not black, and don't join up the lines in the corner of your eye as that will make your eyes look smaller. Use a soft kohl pencil that you can smudge slightly to make it less harsh.

Seriously, take yourself down to Clinique and book in for a make-up session. Have fun!

(Do you think Clinique should pay me for this advert?!)
Reply:first try your hardest to get rid of glasses i feel your pain

second try to get different shades of blues. if your any thing like me (crazy and out there but not popular because i don't care what others think) then this will work out well.

third don't EVER wear all the same colors.

fourth i wear blue eyeshadow and blue green liquid eyeliner and black mascara i highly suggest because black eyeliner is way too much and it shrinks my eyes too used to wear all black with blue eyeshadow and never got comments and now that i wear 3 diff colors i get so many complements and my eyes are so much bigger

Reply:Try buying an eyeshadow pallet in neutral, slightly shimmery brown tones. Cover girl makes a great one, it only about 5 dollars. Sweep the Darkest brown shade along your lash line almost the same way you would with a liner. Next, take the middle shade and sweep it form above the dark drown area up to the crease of your eyelid. You can blend some of this into your brow bone as well, and it will look great. The lightest shade is the highlighting shade, you don't need much of this, for night it's nice if you want a little shimmer above you eyelid to catch the light. These steps are simple, and quick. Something good for day or night, these neutral browns and taupe shades look great with blue eyes, i wear it often. As for mascara, try buying mascara in brown/black instead of just black. Remember to use an eyelash curler and use a eyelash brush to get rid of any clumps. I find that a mini brush mascara is great for a natural application that still lengthens the lashes. I think that if your eye did look small before, opening them up with the shadow(you can add a little black liner smudged along the lash line at night), and curling your lashes should make a huge difference.
Reply:The easiest way to get totally free of all that stuff is to seriously contemplate all the money you will save that you can then use for something new. - Chris.
Reply:Try a brown or brown-black mascara and line your top lid with a raisin colored eyeliner. Smooth on a fawn brown or topaz brown eyeshadow, and highlight the inner corners of your eyes with a white shadow. Lining underneath your eyes makes them appear smaller.
Reply:Try natural hues like browns and golds. They will compliment your eyes nicely and won't clash with your skin-tone or hair color.

When using mascara use brown or brown-black. Black is too intense with pale skin tones and blue eyes. Pastels are a good idea for your skin tone as well. LIght pinks and purples.
Reply:Just don't use it, if you want to enhance your eyes ask for contacts, and use Almay itensify for blue eyes, this should be better looking than you

but if you insist on blue eyeshadow, you should also buy some transulsent or white eyeshadow to mix and let it look a bit lighter and not too flashy
Reply:it depends really - i think you should find something that really suits your skintone %26amp; eyecolour - and then stick with that!!!i would recommend booking a free makeover, or consultation with a make- up brand!!why not try benefit???
