Self tanner wont turn me orange?

I%26#039;m VERY white. I mean i%26#039;m whiter than most really white people. I am a blue eyed girl and that seems to go with pale skin in my family. I tried a tanning bed I come out pink and then I just burn and peel its terrible.

Is there a sunless tanner that I can get that wont turn me orange?

I%26#039;m very fair too, I hate it! I am currently using L%26#039;Oreal%26#039;s self tanning gelee (available at the drugstore, and is inexpensive):

The overall color that it gives is great, but I do get a little orange around the ankles if I%26#039;m not careful. The key is to go sparingly around the ankles, elbows, etc. But the biggest must for avoiding the orange look is to exfoliate when you shower.

Clarins is prized for really being pioneers with this stuff - the trick is to exfoliate the skin as much as possible for like a week before applying the tanner
Reply:I was what I call %26quot;see through white%26quot;. I got a tanning lotion by Jergens that is called Natural Glow Daily Moisterizer. I got the one that is specifically for fair skin. Although it works best if you lay out a little and get a base tan from the sun, if you rub it over your body, within a week you will notice that you look slightly darker. It has not made me look orange in the least bit. Just keep in mind that if you stop using it, you are back at square one, so it is best to use it every day. Good Luck!
Reply:I%26#039;m Russian and I have the same problem. I tried Jergens Natural Glow but that is probably the MOST orange one out there. The best one is Aveeno Daily Moisturizer. It workes kind of slow but then you know when to stop. Takes about 4 days.
Reply:YES!!! I am in the same boat as you... but last summer I started using the Jergen%26#039;s Natural Glow and it kicks butt! All the self tanners that I used before it DID turn me orange, but the Jergens%26#039;s really did look natural. I heard the Oil of Olay also works well. Good luck and I hope it helps....from one white girl to another:)
Reply:Yea, get the daily body moisturizer%26#039;s that have the little bit of sunless tanner in them, like the Jergens Natural Glow. You can pick it up at Walmart, Target,. Walgreens, etc. It works well for people with light skin cuz it is not as strong as just a straigh sunless tanner. :)
Reply:The lightest version of Estee Lauder
Reply:I would recomend any thing from loreal-that stuff wrks super good.
Reply:I used to work in cosmetics when I was in college so I have probably tried them all. My fav is Elizabeth Arden . I think it smells like apples- unlike most that stink. It is relatively inexpensive. I have used it before and thought it was a nice even natural looking tan.
Reply:Have you tried air brush tanning?
Reply:SUN. I won%26#039;t use anything else. It%26#039;s kinda pricey but it works. I heard they used it on a lots of movie sets.

I buy it at beauty brands stores or salons. Make sure you get a level 1 or 2 though. I use a level 3 towards the end of the summer when my upper body is pretty tan naturally and my legs are less than golden.
